Avolon said Friday it ordered 140 Boeing (BA) 737 MAX aircraft and 110 Airbus aircraft to meet demand from airline customers.
The company said the Airbus order includes 75 A320neo-family aircraft and 35 A330neo-family aircraft, with options for another 100 aircraft.
The orders require approval from the shareholders of its largest shareholder, Bohai Leasing, which is expected before the end of October 2026, the company said.
In Q3, Avolon acquired 10 aircraft and sold 29, with another 112 aircraft agreed for sale by quarter-end, Avolon said, adding it also placed 28 new aircraft under lease commitments and completed 84 lease agreements, extensions and amendments.
Avolon ended the quarter with 1,092 owned, managed and committed aircraft, rising to 1,342 on a pro forma basis after the new orders, it added.
