Japan's Machine Tool Orders Growth Slows in September

Japan's machine tool orders increased 60.4% year over year in September, according to data from the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association released Friday.
The pace of growth was slower than the 64.7% expansion recorded in the previous month, and fell short of the Trading Economics forecast for a 61% increase.
Total orders reached 223.2 billion yen, driven by a 66.8% rise in foreign demand to 159.3 billion yen and a 46.5% increase in domestic orders to 63.9 billion yen.
