AusQuest (ASX:AQD) said that a controlled-source audio-frequency magnetotelluric geophysical survey at Cangallo porphyry copper project in Peru confirmed the significant extent of the known porphyry copper system, interpreted to be at least 2.5 kilometers by 1 kilometer in size, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Resistivity anomalies were identified at depth to the north and south of the interpreted Cangallo footprint, the company said, adding that diamond drilling at Cangallo is ongoing.

The mineral explorer's shares were down 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
