Toyota Motor (TM), Ford (F), Honda Motor (HMC), Isuzu and Nissan parts suppliers have halted operations in Thailand over flooding nationwide, curtailing deliveries to car makers, Reuters reported Thursday, citing industry officials.
Around 10 auto parts manufacturers in the country have suspended operations because flooding has prevented employees from getting to work, the report said, citing Sompol Tanadumrongsak, president of the Thai Auto-Parts Manufacturers Association.
Even suppliers not impacted by flooding have been hindered by logistics disruptions, the report said, citing Surapong Paisitpattanapong, spokesperson of the Federation of Thai Industries' Automotive Industry Club
Toyota, Ford and Honda did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
