Silicon Laboratories Expands AI Tools for IoT Developers

Silicon Laboratories (SLAB) launched new tools to help developers build and manage connected devices using AI, the company said on Wednesday.

The company said its Simplicity AI SDK is now in public beta and supports AI coding tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor and Codex, initially for Bluetooth Low Energy development.

Silicon Labs said it also launched a beta open-source community for developers to share code and improvements.

In addition, its edge AI tools can now connect with Databricks to help customers manage device data and AI models, it added.
