Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves fell by $1.15 billion to about $600.8 billion as of the end of September, the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) said in a Monday release.

The pace compared with a $7.63 billion increase recorded at the end of the previous month.

The central bank attributed the change to returns from foreign exchange reserves management, exchange rate movements of other reserve currencies against the U.S. dollar, and the central bank's measures to smooth out volatile capital flows.
