Threat Posed by Trump to Canada's Auto Sector 'Is Real'

1346 ET - Canada Industry Minister Melanie Joly didn't mince words: the threat posed to Canada's automotive sector by President Trump "is real," and she's connecting with the senior executives at auto makers with factories in Canada. Trump threatens to double the tariff on Canadian-assembled cars to 50%, and apply the same duty on previously exempt auto parts. She says she's spoken to the presidents of the Canadian units of Ford Motor, Toyota and Honda, adding the federal government will deploy the tools available to help the auto sector "weather the storm."
