Salesforce Mood Lifted by Talent Returning from AI Labs

0855 GMT - Salesforce is hiring top talent back from artificial-intelligence labs, lifting the mood around the company, Jefferies' Joseph Gallo writes. The software group reported earnings after market close, posting higher second-quarter profit. Like other software stocks, Salesforce shares have fallen sharply this year over fears that AI would eat into the sector's market. Top talent returning includes former head of Agentforce Sales Kaylin Voss and former Chief Customer Officer Peter Doolan. The re-hires should help Salesforce "make a bigger push selling its own AI solutions," as well as products from companies it recently acquired, Gallo writes. Shares jump 11% premarket.
