China State Construction's New Contract Value Slips in January-July

China State Construction Engineering (SHA:601668) signed 2.660 trillion yuan worth of new contracts between January and July, with the value 0.7% lower than the prior year, according to a Wednesday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.

The value of contracts signed under the construction business slipped 0.7%, while those under infrastructure, and survey and design dropped 10% and 8.9%, respectively, year on year. Only the value of building construction contracts rose 4.2% from the prior year.

Meanwhile, contracted sales slid 0.5% year on year to 192 billion yuan, while contracted sales area fell 27% to 5.3 million square meters.
