Kuala Lumpur Kepong Swings to Loss in Fiscal Q3

Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLSE:KLK) incurred a loss attributable to the owners of 1.34 billion ringgit in the fiscal third quarter, reversing a profit of 346.6 million ringgit a year earlier.

Loss per share for the three months ended June 30 was 1.2070 ringgit, against earnings per share of 0.3110 ringgit a year earlier, according to a Monday Malaysian bourse filing.

Revenue of the plantation company increased year on year to 7.05 billion ringgit from 6.43 billion ringgit, the company said.

The company paid an interim single-tier dividend of 0.20 per share on July 28, for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30.
