Tesla (TSLA) Robotaxi, Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo, and Uber Technologies' (UBER) Aviari Services have been approved by the Nevada Transportation Authority to operate as Autonomous Vehicle Network Companies in the state, the agency said Friday.

The approvals authorize each company to provide paid passenger transportation in fully autonomous vehicles within Clark County, subject to other conditions approved by the agency, according to a statement.

Under the approved orders, Tesla is authorized for a fleet of up to 5,000 fully autonomous vehicles for the first 12 months after permit issuance, while Waymo and Aviari are each authorized for up to 1,000 fully autonomous vehicles during their respective first 12 months, the agency said.

The approvals are subject to compliance with various requirements established by the agency before vehicles may be placed into service, the agency said.
