Johnson & Johnson Says Multiple Myeloma Treatment Approved by European Commission

Johnson & Johnson's (JNJ) Tecvayli plus daratumumab has been approved by the European Commission as a treatment for adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, the company said Friday.

The approval was based on a 487-patient phase 3 study of the immunotherapy combination that showing statistically significant improvements in progression-free and overall survival versus standard of care treatments, the company said

The two drugs complement each other with daratumumab modulating the immune system to enhance T-cell fitness and activation, amplifying teclistamab's killing of myeloma cells, the company said.
