Fujifilm Completes Production Site for Post-CMP Cleaners to Meet AI Demand

Fujifilm has completed a new production building for post-CMP cleaners at the Oita factory of Fujifilm Electronic Materials, its semiconductor materials business arm, according to a Friday release.
The investment, amounting to about 7 billion yen, will grow production capacity for CMP cleaners used in making advanced semiconductors, including those for AI applications.
Fujifilm looks to further speed up growth in its semiconductor materials business to cater to the AI demand boon.
Shares of Fujifilm Holdings (TYO:4901) rose nearly 2% in recent trade.
