Singapore Shares Slip More Than 1% Over Rising Oil Prices; Koh Brothers Eco Engineering Down 10%

Singapore shares incurred losses on Tuesday, tracking broader regional losses as rising oil prices and higher US yields weighed down on market sentiment.

The Straits Times Index (STI), a key benchmark for the Singapore Exchange, ranged between 5,686.51 and 5,738.74 throughout the day. It ended the session at 5,701.40, down 67.06 points or 1.2% compared to Monday's close.

Among the notable movers, shares of Koh Brothers Eco Engineering (SGX:5HV) slumped nearly 10% at the close after it updated shareholders on three legal proceedings involving its subsidiary, Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering Contractor.

Keppel REIT (SGX:K71U) completed the divestment of freehold boutique office building in Tokyo, KR Ginza II.

Meanwhile, shares of United Hampshire US Real Estate Investment Trust (SGX:ODBU) were also down nearly 1% at the close as its subsidiary agreed to sell its property, BJ's Quincy, to 200 Crown for $34 million.
