1055 ET - Target has lowered prices on more than 10,000 items over the past 12 months, and the retailer is planning to roll out additional price reductions over the remainder of the year, Chief Merchandising Officer Cara Sylvester says on a call with analysts. Lower prices have helped drive Target's turnaround, but the company still has a long way to go, she adds. "In some categories, we're pleased with our progress and we're seeing meaningful momentum. In others, including home and apparel, our performance is not where it needs to be, and the work will continue into 2027 and beyond," Sylvester says. "But compared with where we were at the beginning of this year, we have greater clarity, we're moving faster, and we're seeing more evidence that the choices we're making are resonating with our guests."
