Walmart (WMT) reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.81 per share, up from $0.68 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.74.
Revenue for the quarter ended July 31 was $187.94 billion, compared with $177.40 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $186.62 billion.
The company expects fiscal Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.62 to $0.64. Analysts expect $0.68.
Net sales for the quarter are expected to increase 3% to 3.75%.
For fiscal 2027, Walmart now expects adjusted EPS of $2.80 to $2.87, compared with its prior outlook range of $2.75 to $2.85. Analysts expect $2.90.
The retail giant now expects full-year net sales to increase 4% to 5%, versus its previous guidance range of 3.5% to 4.5% growth.
Walmart shares were down 6.3% in premarket activity.
