909 ET - Target's shareholders are finally getting to see tangible process being made in the retailer's turnaround efforts under new CEO Michael Fiddelke, Emarketer analyst Sky Canaves says in a note. The company's latest earnings show much-needed improvement in Target's merchandising and assortment, store layout upgrades and price reductions, the analyst says. Those improvements are drawing customers back to stores and online channels, Canaves says. Target's guidance increase indicates that it is maintaining momentum heading into the critical holiday season, the analyst says. There is a note of caution found in the deceleration of growth in Target's services, which have become additional revenue streams, Canaves says.
