Sony Group's (SONY) PlayStation division is overhauling online action game Horizon Hunters Gathering following negative player feedback, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the company's plans.

Playstation's Guerrilla Games unit, which is behind the Horizon franchise, plans to remove the live-service component and turn it into a traditional cooperative multiplayer game with a story mode and a smaller scope, according to the report.

The game has not been canceled, but the team was given until December to impress executives, Bloomberg said.
