Silicon Motion Unveils SSD Reference Design Kit for Agentic AI Infrastructure

Silicon Motion (SIMO) on Monday unveiled its new MonTitan SSD Reference Design Kit, featuring next-generation PerformaShape technology for agentic AI infrastructure.
The company said the platform enables enterprise SSDs to serve as a persistent memory layer for KV cache offload and autonomous AI agents, while supporting predictable quality of service, sustained performance and endurance.
Silicon Motion said the RDK is designed to manage rapidly changing workloads across multi-tenant and multi-agent environments and incorporates its SM8366 PCIe 5.0 and SM8466 PCIe 6.0 enterprise SSD controllers.
