Despite the lower bottom line, PSC Corporation's revenue went up by 5.7% y-o-y to $248.7 million in the same period.\nPSC Corporation says that the higher revenue was due to increase in sales volume and strengthening of the Renminbi against Singapore Dollar from its packaging business, Tat Seng Packaging T12, which coupled with increased revenue contribution from consumer business.\nWith a 5.7% y-o-y decline in cost of sales, PSC Corporation's gross profit grew by 5.6% y-o-y to $57.6 million.\nMeanwhile, distribution expenses increased by 9.6% y-o-y to $27.3 million due to higher advertising and promotion expenses, carriage outward expenses and warehouse storage costs.\nFinance income declined 26.9% y-o-y to $2.3 million in 1HFY2026 due to decline in interest rate. On the other hand, finance costs went up 81.8% y-o-y to nearly $3 million due to mark-to-market losses on other financial assets.\nIncome tax expenses jumped 43.9% y-o-y to $3.9 million, driven by higher operating profits achieved in the period, increase in tax rate for a China subsidiary on expiry of preferential tax rate and non-tax deductible mark-to-market losses on other financial assets.\nAs at June 30, PSC Corporation's cash on hand and in banks stood at $191.6 million, down $21.5 million due to payment of dividend and loans.\nDespite the lower earnings, PSC Corporation has declared an interim dividend of 0.3 cents and a special dividend of 7.2 cents for 1HFY2026. This brings its total dividend to 7.5 cents.\nAs at June 30, PSC Corporation's total issued shares excluding treasury shares stood at 545,296,946 shares.
