Energenesis Biomedical (TPE:6657) received a notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its patent application titled "Methods for Treating Diabetic Ulcer," according to a Monday filing with the Taiwan Exchange.

A notice of allowance means a specific trademark has reached the 30-day opposition period following publication but does not amount to registration yet, according to the patent office's website.

The patent protection for its diabetic foot ulcer drug candidate, F703DFU, in the U.S. can be extended till March 25, 2042.
