0913 ET - After last week's weaker-than-expected July payroll report, attention turns to this week's inflation data, which will influence the odds of a Fed rate move in September, according to a note from Oxford Economics. "Last month, softer-than-expected price statistics were enough to keep most FOMC members in favor of standing pat. The upcoming data will test the Fed's patience," it says. Still, Oxford expects the Fed to hold rates steady in September. Economists polled by WSJ are expecting consumer prices to increase 3.4% year-over-year in July.
