Lincoln National Chief Financial Officer Christopher Neczypor is departing to pursue a different job outside the industry.

Neczypor plans to stay at the financial services company through the end of August to help with the transition, Lincoln National said Monday.

Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer Adam Cohen will stand in as interim chief financial officer. Cohen, 41, joined the company in March 2022 as chief accounting officer and became treasurer about two years later.

Neczypor joined Lincoln National in 2018 and has been finance chief since 2023. He made a total of $7.7 million in 2025, per a public filing.

Separately, Lincoln National said it plans to resume repurchasing shares this quarter.

Any buybacks will be made pursuant to the company's existing billion securities buyback authorization, which was approved in 2021 and currently has $714 million left available.
