0605 GMT - The European consumer-goods sector had a better-than-expected earnings season in the second quarter, with robust volume-driven growth and stronger performance in emerging markets, analysts at JP Morgan say in a note. For many consumer-staples companies, guidance was reiterated and in some cases, raised, they add. Unilever, Danone, and some beer and ingredients companies are top picks for investors, the analysts say. However, premium-valuation stocks such as Lindt and Haleon show some top line softness, they add.
