Northern Minerals Says Treasurer Issued Further Interim Orders for Two China-Linked Shareholders; Shares Gain 4%

Northern Minerals (ASX:NTU) said Australia's Federal Treasurer issued further interim directions prohibiting shareholders Real International Resources and Qogir Trading & Service from disposing of their shares unless the Treasurer is satisfied the acquirer is not their associate, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The Treasurer earlier ordered the two China-linked shareholders to dispose of their stakes in the company and not exercise their voting power on any matters put forward at shareholder meetings.

The new interim orders are designed to prevent circumvention of the disposal orders issued in May.

Northern Minerals shares gained 4% in recent Monday trade.
