Velo3D Shares Rise on Outlook Lift, 2Q Revenue Beat

Shares of Velo3D rose after the company lifted its full-year guidance and reported second-quarter revenue ahead of Wall Street's expectations.

Shares climbed 19% to $16.35 in after-hours trading on Tuesday, after closing up 5.7% at $13.69. Through the close, the stock was down 0.4% year to date.

The additive manufacturing technology company said it now expects full-year revenue between $65 million and $75 million, up from a range of $60 million to $70 million.

Analysts polled by FactSet are expecting revenue of $64.4 million.

The company reported a second-quarter loss of $11.5 million, or 39 cents a share, compared with a loss of $13.3 million, or 94 cents a share, a year earlier.

Stripping out certain one-time items, the company reported an adjusted loss of 30 cents a share. Analysts were expecting an adjusted loss of 27 cents a share.

Revenue rose to $20.7 million from $13.6 million a year prior. Analysts were expecting $14.1 million in revenue.
