US Foods Revenue Climbs 4.5% As Restaurant Demand Improves

US Foods Holding Corp. (NYSE:USFD) shares rose to a 52-week high on Thursday after the company reported strong second quarter earnings results.

Adjusted EPS of $1.44, beat the analyst estimates of $1.36. Revenue rose 4.5% year over year (Y/Y) to $10.53 billion, topping the consensus estimate of $10.46 billion.

Earnings Snapshot

US Foods reported a 1.9% increase in total case volume during the quarter, while independent restaurant case volume grew 5.1% in the quarter.

Gross profit increased 8.0% Y/Y to $1.9 billion in the quarter. Adjusted EBITDA increased 10.2% Y/Y to $604 million, lifting adjusted EBITDA margin by 29 basis points to 5.7%.

US Foods generated $725 million in operating cash flow during the first six months of fiscal 2026.

Net debt stood at $5.2 billion at the end of the quarter, with net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA improving to 2.6x from 2.7x at fiscal year-end 2025.

The company repurchased 4.4 million shares for $374 million during the second quarter, with $640 million remaining under its current buyback authorization.

Outlook

US Foods reaffirmed FY2026 guidance, expecting net sales growth of 4%-6%, adjusted EBITDA growth of 9%-13%, and adjusted diluted EPS growth of 18%-24%.

The company reaffirmed its FY2026 adjusted EPS guidance of $4.70-$4.93, compared with analyst expectations of $4.70.

It sees FY2026 revenue outlook of $41.00 billion-$41.79 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $41.44 billion.
