Avient's (AVNT) shares rose about 15% in early Thursday trading after the company posted better-than-expected Q2 results and raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance.
The company reported Q2 adjusted earnings of $0.96 per share, up from $0.80 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.89.
Sales for the quarter ended June 30 rose to $917 million from $866.5 million a year earlier.
Analysts expected $898.5 million.
For 2026, the company now expects adjusted earnings of $3.10 to $3.25 per share, versus its previous guidance of $2.93 to $3.17 per share. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $3.08.
