Singapore shares opened slightly lower Wednesday as investors looked past optimism over a US‑Iran interim deal and awaited local earnings.

The Straits Times Index opened 0.07%, or 3.84 points lower at 5,608.410.

Investors are focused on upcoming results from major banks, including DBS, OCBC and UOB, due out in the next few days. Retail sales data due later in the day could also provide direction to investors.
