Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) ground workers are set to vote on industrial action, calling for job security, a fair pay rise and for scattered work groups to be brought together under one agreement, according to a Thursday statement by the Transport Workers' Union of Australia.

The union said Qantas workers are spread across 38 different subsidiaries and labor hire companies, leading to high staff turnover and safety concerns, per the statement.
