The Trump administration is expected to extend a waiver of the Jones Act in the coming days to keep a lid on gasoline prices, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing unnamed sources.
The Jones Act requires cargo moving between US ports to be carried by US-built ships, owned by US companies and operated by American crews, the report said.
The White House didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
