Voya Financial (VOYA) reported Q2 adjusted net income late Tuesday of $1.51 per diluted share, down from $2.46 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.98.
Revenue in the three months ended June 30 fell to $1.896 billion from $1.981 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $1.897 billion.
Voya shares fell 3.9% in after-hours trading.
