The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore has cleared Texas Instruments' proposed acquisition of Silicon Laboratories, according to a Friday release.
According to the regulator, the deal will not impact competition in the global supply of wireless connectivity systems, non-wireless microcontroller units, power management circuits, sensors and universal serial bus bridges.
The analog and embedded processing chipmaker had agreed to buy Silicon Labs for $231 per share or an enterprise value of around $7.5 billion.
