AUO (TPE:2409) board approved the disposal of property and related equipment at its Huaya Plant to Quanta Computer for NT$19.7 billion, according to a Tuesday filing with the Taiwan Exchange.
The assets comprise two land parcels spanning about 65,260 square meters, eight buildings of around 162,826 square meters and a batch of related equipment.
The disposal is part of the display panel maker's strategy to focus on a light-asset operational model.
