Daxor (DXR) said late Wednesday it launched an outpatient blood volume analysis laboratory at a healthcare facility in eastern Kansas, expanding access to its diagnostic services.
The medical device company said its on-site laboratory and equipment enable physicians to obtain direct measurements of plasma volume, red blood cell volume and total blood volume for outpatients.
The company said the facility uses its CLIA-certified ezBVA Lab workflow, enabling physicians to obtain blood volume analysis results within 24 hours without requiring on-site laboratory infrastructure, while using existing reimbursement codes.
Daxor said the testing helps physicians optimize patient care and reduce hospital readmissions through existing reimbursement pathways.
The company said the program is aimed at outpatient cardiology and chronic disease management, particularly patients whose treatment depends on accurate fluid-volume assessment.
