Lam Research Revenue Jumps as AI Demand Drives Growth

Lam Research reported higher fourth-quarter revenue, boosted by AI-driven demand.

The company, which makes and services equipment used for semiconductors, posted net income of $2.28 billion, or $1.81 a share, up from $1.72 billion, or $1.35 a share, the year prior.

Adjusted earnings were $1.82 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.69 a share.

Revenue rose to $6.72 billion from $5.17 billion. Wall Street expected $6.66 billion.

The company guided for first-quarter revenue of $8.1 billion, plus or minus $400 million and adjusted earnings of $2.15 a share, plus or minus 15 cents. Analysts see first-quarter revenue of $7.11 billion and adjusted earnings of $1.84 a share.

"Lam delivered record revenue, operating margin and earnings per share in the June quarter as AI-driven demand continues to reshape the semiconductor industry," said Chief Executive Tim Archer.
