Nomura Research Institute Profit Rises 12% in Fiscal Q1

Nomura Research Institute (TYO:4307) posted a 12.4% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 29.21 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 26 billion yen.

The Japan-based think tank's basic earnings per share increased to 51.42 yen from 45.43 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.

Revenues jumped 7.5% to 210.46 billion yen from 195.8 billion yen in the year-ago period.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 119 billion yen, EPS of 209.46 yen, and revenue of 850 billion yen.

The company plans to pay a second quarter-end dividend of 42 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
