0659 GMT - French aerospace supplier Safran delivered another stellar quarter and its propulsion segment, once again, drove the better-than-expected performance, Bernstein analysts say in a research note. All divisions contributed to the first-half performance, but propulsion was the main driver thanks to a 28% increase in sales of spare aircraft-engine parts and a 40% jump in service revenue, according to Bernstein. "Safran shares are only back to early-2026 levels, due to the war in Iran, while the company has delivered two stellar quarters in the meantime and upgraded the 2026 guidance significantly," the analysts say. "We continue to believe that Safran is the best opportunity within the aftermarket players and maintain it as our top pick in European aerospace & defense." (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
