Shares of EQT rose after the natural-gas producer raised its fiscal 2026 production guidance and its second-quarter revenue beat analyst estimates.
The stock climbed 7.6% to $53.58 in recent trading, and was at about breakeven for the year.
The company said it raised its fiscal 2026 production guidance by 90 billion cubic feet equivalent due to better-than-expected benefits from compression investments.
EQT also reduced its capital-spending outlook by $25 million for the full year.
For the second quarter, revenue was down 29% to $1.81 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.76 billion.
The company posted quarterly net income of $211.4 million, or 34 cents a share, compared with $784.1 million, or $1.30 a share, a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings per share were 39 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected 41 cents a share.
