FedEx (FDX) expects its MD-11 airplanes to be completely returned to service by the end of this year, the company said Monday in a filing.
In November, all Boeing (BA) made MD-11 aircraft were grounded due to safety concerns following a fatal crash in Louisville that killed 14 people.
The logistics and transportation company faced operational disruptions in fiscal 2026 due to the grounding, which had an "adverse impact" on its financial results.
FedEx began resuming use of its MD-11 fleet in May after the US Federal Aviation Administration lifted the grounding order.
