Consumer stocks were edging higher pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) up 0.5% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) advancing by 0.3%.
Coca-Cola (KO) has raised prices for Diet Coke in India and introduced larger 330 ml cans after supply disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict tightened aluminum can availability, Reuters reported. Shares of Coca-Cola were 0.4% higher premarket.
