Blackstone-Backed Private Equity Funds Agree to Invest in South Korea's Futronic

Private equity funds affiliated with Blackstone signed a definitive agreement with Futronic to make a considerable investment in the latter, the South Korean manufacturer of high-precision actuators and motion control solutions, the US-based alternative asset manager said in a Monday release.

The definitive agreement is being made in partnership with Futronic founder Jin-ho Ko, who will remain chairman and chief executive officer and work with Blackstone. Founded in 1993, Futronic has primary operations in South Korea and the U.S.

The value of the investment remains undisclosed.
