Gateway Mining (ASX:GML) said it started reverse circulation drilling at its Yandal gold project in Western Australia following a short delay due to rig maintenance issues, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

One reverse-circulation rig is drilling on site; a second rig is due to arrive in the second weekend; and the company has an option to add a third rig during the current quarter, per the filing.

The company said aircore drilling at Yandal will stop at the end of July, with results from the southern portion of the project area due to be released soon.

Gateway said it remains well-capitalized for planned 2026 exploration, with AU$15.7 million in cash at the end of the March quarter.
