Avenue Supermarts (NSE:DMART, BOM:540376) said it has appointed Lalit Ahuja as chief operating officer, effective July 13, according to a stock exchange filing on Saturday.
Shares of the company fell over 2% in Monday's morning trade.
The supermarket chain's incumbent COO, Parvez Vandrewala, will move to the role of head of Centre of Excellence from Nov. 1.
Avenue Supermarts' other COO, Bhaskaran N, has also been reappointed to the role from Oct. 17, 2026, to May 31, 2028, subject to shareholder approval.
