Pacific Edge (ASX:PEB, NZE:PEB) said its Asia-Pacific (APAC) operations are progressing toward profitability on a direct-cost basis, supported by higher commercial test volumes and gaining adoption of the Cxbladder Triage Plus test, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

The company said its APAC commercial test volume rose nearly 13% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 to 1,158 tests from 1,026 tests in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026.

Meanwhile, APAC business revenue of NZ$2 million represented 19% of overall operating revenue in the second half of fiscal year 2026, up from 8% in fiscal 2025, the company said.

In the US, commercial test volume fell 2.4% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 to 3,295 from 3,375 in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 amid continuing attrition in the sales team, Pacific Edge said.

The company's New Zealand shares gained 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
