Altair Minerals Expanded Exploration Programs for Guyana Project; Shares Up 3%

Altair Minerals (ASX:ALR) expanded exploration plans for the Greater Oko project in Guyana to 75,000 meters of combined reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The program includes 20,000 meters of diamond and 25,000 meters of RC drilling at South Oko, 10,000 meters of diamond and 5,000 meters of RC drilling at North Peters, and 10,000 meters of diamond and 5,000 meters of RC drilling for new regional targets, the filing said.

Light Detection and Ranging survey is expected to start in August to allow mapping of structures, lithologies, alluvial fields, road access, and geomorphology, per the filing.

Shares rose more than 3% in morning trade on Thursday.
