0012 GMT - Lithium miner Liontown Resources' cash pile likely grew strongly in 4Q, but not as much as the market expects, suggests Canaccord Genuity. It forecasts closing cash of A$535 million, up 27% on 3Q. That compares to consensus forecasts for A$587 million in cash at end-June. Liontown's 4Q production rose by 15% on quarter to 110,000 tons, Canaccord estimates. "We expect the production result to offset any cost pressures," Canaccord says. It expects unit costs fell 7% on quarter to US$1,169/ton of spodumene, reflecting higher grades. Liontown is down 1.8% at A$1.40. (david.winning@wsj.com; @dwinningWSJ)
