Australia and India have signed an arrangement to enable uranium exports for peaceful purposes under their nuclear cooperation agreement, as the two countries deepen collaboration on energy security, renewables and critical minerals, according to a statement from the Australian Prime Minister's Office.

The arrangement will facilitate uranium exports from Australia to India, supporting the latter's efforts to expand non-fossil fuel power capacity while creating an additional market for Australia's resources sector.

The two countries also agreed to strengthen energy security cooperation, including collaboration on renewable energy, critical minerals and stable supplies of coal, diesel, liquid fuels and natural gas.
