Ampol (ASX:ALD) has completed its acquisition of EG Group Australia and EG AsiaPac Holdings, collectively referred to as EG Australia, on Tuesday, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company paid around AU$1.17 billion in gross consideration, or AU$1.12 billion net of an estimated upfront working capital release, per the filing.

EG Australia operates about 480 company-owned and operated sites, sells roughly 2 billion liters of Ampol-branded fuel annually, and employs around 4,200 staff across corporate, store, and site roles, the filing said.

The deal accelerates the company's growth strategy by expanding its segmented retail model across Foodary and U-GO formats while deepening loyalty integration through Woolworths Everyday Rewards.

The company said it expects AU$65 million to AU$80 million in annual synergies by June 2028, with high-single-digit earnings and double-digit free cash flow per share accretion, driven by scale, network conversion, and merchandising gains, while maintaining its investment-grade credit profile, the filing added.
