INmune Bio (INMB) said Wednesday it has entered into the US national phase for its CORDStrom patent application with the US Patent and Trademark Office, advancing intellectual property protection for its mesenchymal stromal cell platform.
The company said the related patent cooperation treaty application during the international phase previously received a favorable written opinion supporting the patentability of the technology.
The application covers the CORDStrom mesenchymal stromal cell platform, including Ebstrocel for epidermolysis bullosa, and future MSC therapies selected for specific diseases or engineered to deliver targeted treatments, INmune Bio said.
If granted, the patent family is expected to provide protection through at least 2045, INmune Bio said, adding it also plans to pursue patent protection in additional markets, including the UK, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Shares of INmune Bio were up more than 4% in premarket activity Wednesday.
